Pokhara Metropolitan City

Pokhara was declared metropolitan city on Falgun 27, 2073 B.S. It has total area of 464.24 square km and population of 5,13,504( according to population census 2078). Pokhara is divided into 33 wards which includes Pokhara Metropolitan City , Pokhara Submetropolitan City, Lekhnath Municipality, Mauja,Chapakot,Bhadaure Tamani(3,9), Kaskikot Majthana(1,4,9), Kalika(1,5) and Puranchaur V.D.C .Its neighbouring areas contains Madi and Rupa Gaupalika in east , Annapurna Gaupalika , Parbat and Syangja district in west , Macchapuchhre and Madi Gaupalika in north and Syangja and Tanahu district in south.
